Main Role: Innovation Developer is the person in charge to develop and source fabric, trim, print, embroidery, wash/dye and accessories for all UA customer. This person will work closely with Sales development team and supply chain head department. The key success for this person is understand the trend of the textile industry and always source new quality, technic..

Development of raw material:

• Receive request from product development team to develop new quality can be print, embroidery, fabric, trim or wash/dye or even accessories
• Source at least 3 suppliers for it need to contact our actual supplier if they can’t do source a new one.
• After 5 days latest come back to product development team with timing and update
• Work closely with development purchaser and outsource controller to see if they know supplier can develop it. For wash/Dyeing just pass it to the washing team and they will handover and send you back with all information when they will finish to develop.
• Develop sustainable option for all items: Fabric, Trim, print, embroidery, washing/dyeing and get all specific information why is sustainable and create database.
• Work closely with develop purchaser and outsource controller on all item customer rejected or cancel take it and show it to product development team for them to present it to other customer.
• Support outsource team to develop any print/embroidery new technic our current supplier can’t handle and need to source supplier.
• Collect all the new development and bulk from outsource team with all details and organize it for the showroom and update on the database.
• And every 2 months do presentation to purchaser, developer purchaser, sales merch with new fabric present in the showroom.
• Work closely with product development for the innovation box:

- Visit our actual supplier and see the new technic, new fabric, new trim they can offer to our customer and collect it and show it to the product development team to see if they want to use it for their box.

- If product development team need some meter to make garment arrange it with supplier.

- If product development team select fabric organize it for the showroom and add it on the data base.

- Share with the team the date-base of the innovation

• Developing with correct supplier suitable for our customer it’s mean can follow our standard or customer standard.
• Before work with any suppliers need to ensure we visit them first if can’t visit physically need to do a zoom visit to ensure they align with all our requirements.
• Need to ensure the supplier we develop sample the price align with what we need, and they can handle our bulk order (quantity, quality and lead time) and can sign our contract.
• And if new supplier needs to send to SGS to be sure can achieve our standard or customer standard.

Supplier Management

• If any development supplier is a big potential need to be present to developer purchaser
• Have a supplier data base always update.

Delivering

• Ensure supplier send development sample in time, supplier ship the goods in time and with correct document
• Work hard with supplier to collect all fabric swatches selected on time
• Be sure the quantity of swatch product development team need is give them on time.
• All development need to respect the timeline

Reporting:

• Ensure all the sourcing and development are on the system and update correctly.
• Ensure all the database for the showroom is update properly
• Ensure when you send information to merchandiser and sales you share with them the maximum of information of the MOQ, MCQ, issue can be happen during sample or bulk if under MOQ, tolerance…

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

• Need to insure the fabric and Trim are develop correctly and on time
• Ensure the supplier we source can work with UA and can follow the requirement of UA or customer.
• Ensure all the raw material quantity are correct and update on the correct file and share with supplier.
• Ensure when we develop the sustainable raw material we propose the best option and we can get correct certificate and information.
