Position Context:

The Efficiency and Range Testing Engineer will be responsible for the validation activities regarding Energy efficiency and Range confirmation in vehicle level, by executing the tests that can take place InHouse and/or by tracking the activities being held in external testing suppliers.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead all activities related to the testing and validation execution, including subjective and objective evaluation, to allow the DVP assessment completion of the vehicle Energy Management and Range verification.
• Vehicle preparation. Ensure with the respective functional partners (MMLs, Attribute, TnV) that the vehicle is having the required SW and HW status for representative testing results.
• In House test execution in all the cases where it is possible, ensuring that the correct testing protocol is applied for the particular testing purpose, in proper form and time.
• Process and analysis of data out of the testing, elaborating the test report, including main conclusions and recommendations.
• Track the execution of the testing activities held in external suppliers.
• Manage JIRA system, to capture any issue detected during the testing. Work together with the respective areas to address properly the technical solution of the issues.

Position Requirements:

Education/ Professional knowledge:

Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineer or equivalent work experience (5+ years) with solid knowledge in Electric Vehicles and Automotive Validation.

Skill, Experience:

• Solid experience in Powertrain systems and energy management systems in electric vehicles.
• Robust Experience with vehicle instrumentation for testing.
• Sound knowledge of range and efficiency test procedures and cycles, with proved experience on Coast Down and energy consumption optimization.
• Hands-on experience and skills to retrofit exterior/interior parts of the vehicle.
• Robust Experience with electronic data capture and analysis of testing data.
