- Design, build, and operate distributed data pipelines using Airflow, NiFi, and Kafka.
- Organize, store, and optimize various types of data (text, audio, etc.) across multiple databases and storage systems.
- Implement and manage data governance, access control, and auditing with Apache Ranger.
- Containerize and deploy data services using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Integrate data into analytics, catalog, and search systems such as Superset, OpenMetadata, OpenSearch, Nessie, and Trino.
- Monitor system health and pipeline performance using Prometheus and related tooling.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to standardize and deliver data for AI/ML applications.
- Ensure reliability, scalability, and operational stability of data pipelines.
Must-have
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Airflow, Apache NiFi
- Apache Ranger
- Kafka
- Docker & Kubernetes
- Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation.
- Solid understanding of data architecture, ETL/ELT pipelines, and distributed systems.
- Experience working with common databases and storage technologies: ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Qdrant.
- Experience with or familiarity in: Superset, OpenMetadata, OpenSearch, Prometheus, Nessie, Trino.
- Knowledge of data lakehouse concepts, object storage, and versioned data.
- Experience with query optimization and large-scale data performance tuning.
- Understanding of CI/CD or DevOps practices in data infrastructure deployment.
