The Opportunity

Our partner is an Australia-based leading communications and Telecom software company, listed on the Australian Stock Exchange since 2006 is looking for a Software Engineer who is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the application. This is a hands-on role that will be developing new features for our customers which meet the needs of our business. As a Software Engineer, you are also involved in building with best practices and resiliency in mind, adhering to agile processes and dealing with business and technology stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Development of stable, secure, and well architected code
To always leave code in a better state than it was when starting.
Actively seeks to improve the skill level of the team and shares knowledge freely
Your code is adequately tested prior to production deployment.
Your approach to work includes an “eagerness to action” outlook to foster early time to market.
Identifies and escalates issues/risks to leadership early.
Ensure appropriate consideration is given to testing, security, stability, reliability, and monitoring.
Drive technical decisions and direction within your team and across platforms owned by the team.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of Java experience
Have good experience working with AWS
Nice to have with experience in working with projects using: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, Redis
Familiar or Knowledge with DevOps using: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform
Experience working with Helmchart
