DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Overview: HCL is setting up large delivery center for digital transformation projects in Vietnam and as part of that we are starting a delivery center in Ho Chi Minh City for Data transformation initiative of a major Global Bank. Work involves transforming legacy data into modern digital data technology and hosting it in Google Cloud Platform. This is an exciting project in which employees get the opportunity to experience the most modern data tool stack. Project is delivered in agile ways of working, an excellent opportunity to work for a global leader.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using GCP, BigQuery, and DBT

• Apply strong data modeling principles and best practices to optimize our data warehouse

architecture

• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to support data analysis and reporting

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data migration

strategies, particularly from Teradata to BigQuery

• Develop and maintain data integration solutions using Python, Java, or other relevant

programminglanguages

• Create and support data visualizations to deliver clear and actionable insights

• Troubleshoot and resolve data issues, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the data

infrastructure

• Provide technical guidance and support to team members on data engineering best

practices

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Must-have:

• Proven expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, and DBT

• Strong understanding of data modeling principles and best practices

• Proficient in SQL and familiar with programming languages such as Python

• Experience with data visualization tools and techniques

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with experience working in cross-functional teams

Nice-to-have:

• Prior experience with Teradata and knowledge of migration strategies to BigQuery

• Familiarity with additional data storage and processing tools within the GCP ecosystem

• Experience with large-scale data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark
