• Responsibility of the quality of product, presentation, flavor which are delivered from bar to the customer. Ensures consistency in providing luxury quality of service, food and beverage to the guests.
• To keep up to date with the current trends in the competitive market and assist the Head Bar in the development of the service and menu pairing/pricing strategies.
• Maintain an up to date knowledge of the hotel daily services, activities, promotion, and event. Effectively communicate and update all team members on any changes to ensure guests receive up-to-date information.
• Be knowledgeable of the hotel’s offerings, special events or promotions to provide most up-to-date information and accurate information to guests
• Be the Champion in menu knowledge of the restaurant and delivers stellar recommendations and food-beverage pairings to enhance guests’ dining experience.
• Recognize the importance of LQA and Brand standards as to deliver excellent audit and service performance.
• Maintains strong working relationships with other departments to ensure effective communications for operational issues, serves as a role model for inter-departmental collaboration and support
• Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management
• Analyze guest feedback from direct feedback, comment card or any online reviews and providing strategic direction to improve overall rating.
• Assists the higher management in updating the Standard Operating Procedures in accordance to the hotel standards and business level by suggesting improvements to improve efficiency of work and performance.
• Proactively identify training needs of team members to ensure enhancement and performance improvement.
• Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
• Assist higher management on planning for yearly/monthly/weekly promotion and drive event successfully
• Report any issue or damages and breakdowns within working areas and the hotel to ensure a defect-free facilities and service amenities provided.
• Actively responsibility in menu development, maintaining updated and accurate costing of all the drink prepared and sold in the outlets
• Responsibility on all the product prepared in a consistent manner and meet quality standard
• Assist the manager on monthly/ quarterly tasting plan and achieve target of approval drink
• Be responsible of the purchasing request, the acquisition of needed ingredients and service including inventory management and storage
• Be responsible to advice for layout & purchasing for new bar set up : bar equipment / booking tools / glassware as per concept
• Ensures opening and closing checklist are completed on a daily basis.
• Check on table setting, cleanliness and side station preparation as per work station assigned prior to the start of operation
• Greet all guest warmly upon arrival at the door and escort them to the table
• Apply necessary precautions with regards to the hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)
• Try to remember individual guest’s names and their preferences to extend a personalized service
• Up-sell and promote food and beverage offers at every available opportunity in order to maximize sales revenue. Cross sell other dining venue when outlet is full
• Clear and tidy up tables after the departure of the guest as quickly as possible to the stewarding area
• Handling complaints and resolving service ‘Glitches’, keep Manager on Duty updated and keep a record of all feedbacks under the appropriate system. Ensures that the issues are resolved in a timely manner to guests’ satisfaction.
• Creation of new beverage/cocktails to suit guests’ needs. Up-sell and promote other food and beverage offers at every available opportunity to maximize sales revenue.
• Thank all guest for patronizing the outlet upon their departure

• High school Graduation (minimum request)
• Additional certification(s) in Food & Beverage will be an advantage
• Experience in restaurant or hotel will be an advantage
• Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
• Experience in Micros, MC, MS Office will be an advantage
• Good communication and customer contact skills
• Good communication of English
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of employees
• Service oriented with an eye for details
• Ability to work effectively and contribute in a team
• Good presentation and influencing skills
