Our client is a fast-growing digital banking group, focused on providing affordable, accessible financial services in emerging markets. Headquartered in Singapore, they design, build, and operate digital banks tailored for underserved populations. Their innovative approach combines advanced technology with personalized services through physical kiosks, allowing customers to easily open accounts and access banking services.

The Technical Lead will drive the efficient delivery of change through analysis, definition, and documentation of requirements whilst identifying potential solutions using agile delivery frameworks.

What you’ll be doing:

• Collaborate in small, highly agile teams, with a clear mission and ownership of critical outcomes that drive value for both the company and its customers.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders on best practices related to APIs, security, compliance, product roadmap, and reliability.
• Influence the technical direction for software features.
• Develop APIs that are highly scalable, reliable, and capable of handling large transaction volumes.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive team culture with a strong sense of ownership for the products being developed.

Requirements:

• A pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
• Strong knowledge of professional software engineering practices, covering the entire development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, operations, and monitoring.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in software development (exceptional candidates with fewer years of experience are also welcome).
• Preferably 3+ years of experience in Java, though experience in other general-purpose programming languages is also considered.
• Understanding of system design and tuning for high performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Strong database and schema design for large-scale and finance systems.
• Great problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Experience with event-driven architecture or message queue system
• Professional experience working with cloud (either AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience in enterprise architecture.
• Working proficiency in English.
• B.Sc or M.Sc in Computer Science or a related discipline with proven “hands-on” development experience
