EXPECTED WORK
This role will cover:
1. Development of local innovative solution for specific business need (80%).
2. The deployment of data science & analytic components within global product ensuring local relevance to models (20%).
The work is strongly technical, and the data scientist will be expected to participate in both very technical sessions (a lot of formula, equations) and business-oriented discussions.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Leading data science activity for business function partnered with driving innovation, model deployment, testing, improving and BAU monitoring.
2. Deliver the data science road map for the function driving development with/without global or 3rd parties’ support.
3. Engagement in innovative project initiatives for the function, drive the conversation, solution design and development for MVPs.
Internal consultant/technical expert to support engagement with tech solution/service providers.

Key Skills Required:
• Tech Skills -- Full Operational (tools/platform preferred in bracket)
o Data-Native platform for full ML cycle (Databricks)
o Data processing and modelling (Python/PySpark/Scala)
o Statistical modelling, machine learning
o A/B test set up and analytical skills
o Research and optimization

• Relevant Experience (ranked in descending order by importance):
1. Involved in the full cycle of data science product development with strong presence in the project.
2. Substantial tech experience in all tech aspects of data science work, EDA, modelling, testing, BAU monitoring.
3. Experience with FMCG
4. Experience with Supply chain
5. Experience working with/managing 3rd parties
6. Working with partners from tech product/platform (MS Azure, GCP etc)
7. Research for new methodology (from application point of view), writing white papers, product evaluation
