Position Objective

The principal objective of this role is to implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that leads to an improved customer experience and positions ISHCMC as the school of choice in HCMC, driving student recruitment and retention. The position will work with the Marketing and Communications Manager to provide editorial guidance and mentorship to the Marketing and Communications Team, ensuring appropriate content, tone, and consistency of all digital and printed collaterals.

The position will draft compelling narratives that drive engagement and conversion across all channels, as well as collaborate with key stakeholders to provide key communications from school to home.

Responsibilities

The role reports to the Marketing and Communications Manager on a daily basis, including but not limited to:

• Support in implementing a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy across all channels, that leads to an improved customer experience and positioning ISHCMC as the school of choice in HCMC, driving student recruitment and retention.

• Draft high-quality communications and provide editorial control, together with the Marketing and Communications Manager for school-to-home communications, ensuring appropriate content, tone, brevity, and consistency.

• Sporadically audit the School’s parent communications across all channels (academic and non-academic) to identify areas that require improvement – and develop actions to address them.

• Support with content planning and creation activities to be used as a part of the marketing campaign and organic social media posts.

• Work with school Principals and Leadership Teams to publish weekly school updates to parents.

• Continuously collaborate with school stakeholders to deliver a consistent and professional standard of communication. Ensuring consistent communication with our community.

• Create and publish a digital newsletter that captures stories of the School and achievements.

• Act as a key custodian of the School’s communication hub and external website, ensuring that content is updated and refreshed in a timely fashion.

• Update and create school printed (and online) communication material e.g., Curriculum Guides, Handbooks.

• Be a member of the Yearbook team in ensuring the publishing meets the deadline and content is accurate.

• Be a versatile copywriter who edits, proof-reads and publishes material.

• Promote an effective and efficient flow of information between departments to ensure up-to-date stories are shared via various Communication channels.

• Internal events – support the community & global engagement team with promotion and communications of school events.

• Work with teachers to capture everyday school activities.

• Be a member of the Graduation committee with communication regarding this event and the after-graduation party organized by parents.

• Mentor the Marketing & Communication team to keep abreast with the latest techniques, job skills, and soft skills, to enhance team performance.

• To be a brand ambassador to ensure brand guidelines are implemented and used appropriately.

• Support the school’s digital efforts including the school websites, digital marketing campaigns, school events, and external collateral materials, with the effort to generate leads.

• Coordinate team efforts in creating all printed communication materials including handbooks, guidelines, prospectuses, etc.

• Assist with school event promotion where needed.

• Support for collaterals and communication of events and activities, including open days, parent events, and community events.


Job requirements

The job holder’s responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons for whom s/he is responsible, or with whom s/he comes into contact will be to adhere to and ensure compliance with the relevant Cognita Safeguarding; Child Protection Policy and Procedures at all times. If in the course of carrying out the duties of the role, the job holder identifies any instance that a child is suffering or likely to suffer significant harm either at school or at home, s/he must report any concerns to the School’s Child Protection Officer/Designated Safeguarding Lead or to the Head of indeed to the Regional CEP so that a referral can be made accordingly to the relevant third party services.


Job requirements:

• Experience working in an international environment is an advantage

• Have a good working knowledge of Adobe design software to complete basic graphic design needs (training will be provided to upskill where necessary)

• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Marketing, Communications, Psychology, English, or a related field.

• 2 years + experience in Marketing and/or Communications

• 2+ years experience working in Education
