Objectives

Job Description

Product Quality Assurance & Release Confidence
Own end-to-end QC execution for assigned product modules (internal tools and platform features).
Perform functional testing, smoke testing, regression testing, and exploratory testing across web and API layers.
Validate features against user stories, acceptance criteria, and expected business workflows.
Partner with Engineering/BA to establish release readiness and reduce production incidents/regressions.
Test Planning, Documentation & Coverage
Create and maintain core QC assets:

Test plans per sprint/release
Test cases & regression suites for critical workflows
UAT checklist and release checklist

Improve test coverage by identifying edge cases, negative cases, and high-risk scenarios early in the cycle.
Contribute to defining “Definition of Done” quality gates (minimum testing, evidence, rollback considerations).
Defect Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Log defects with high clarity: reproduction steps, expected vs actual, severity/priority, evidence, environment info.
Work closely with Engineers to validate fixes and ensure proper closure.
Participate in refinement/grooming to ensure requirements are testable, assumptions are surfaced, and acceptance criteria are explicit.
API, Integration & Data Validation (as applicable)
Execute API testing (Postman or equivalent): validate status codes, payload integrity, data rules, error handling.
Validate key integrations and downstream impacts (e.g., marketing data, CRM, ERP, internal operational flows).
For dashboards/reporting features: validate data correctness and consistency based on defined metric logic.
Quality Improvement & Automation Readiness
Identify repetitive, high-value flows to propose test automation candidates (smoke/regression critical paths).
Support basic automation efforts where feasible (e.g., Playwright/Cypress/Selenium exposure is an advantage).
Proactively recommend process improvements to reduce rework (e.g., requirement clarity, bug prevention patterns, release checklists).

Job Requirements

Skills & Knowledge & Qualification

Core Competencies

2–4 years experience in QC/QA for web-based products or internal systems.
Strong manual testing competency: test design, execution discipline, regression mindset.
Experience with defect tracking and delivery tools (e.g., Jira) and structured QA documentation.
Basic API testing capability (Postman): able to validate requests/responses and error scenarios.
Strong critical thinking and attention to detail; able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Domain / Plus

Experience testing role-based access, approval flows, audit trails, or multi-step internal workflows.
SQL for validation is a plus
Exposure to test automation or willingness to learn quickly (Playwright/Cypress/Selenium).
Experience in fast-paced environments (agency operations, MarTech, e-commerce, performance-driven teams) is an advantage.
