ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly skilled Dummies and Sensor Lead Engineer to oversee all activities related with Dummies and Sensor within the Crash laboratory, ensuring that testing is conducted efficiently, safely, and with high technical standards. He will be responsible for the preparation and execution of the dummy for crash test and in charge of the this portion of electronical equipment. This individual will lead a team of technicians to contribute the testing methodologies for automotive and electric vehicle (EV) from their section perspective. The role requires expertise in passive safety dummy, preparation and testing protocols and further data analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leadership and Team Management: Supervise a team technicians, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure optimal performance and professional development.
• Operational Oversight: Manage their Team according the scheduling and execution of vehicle and component tests, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and testing standards.
• Technical Expertise: Develop and implement advanced testing methodologies for evaluating passive safety vehicle performance metrics. To be ready to make maintenance and adjustment of electronical equipment.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Oversee the collection, interpretation, and documentation of test data, providing comprehensive reports and insights to project stakeholders.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure the lab's test procedures and equipment meet industry and regulatory standards. Oversee calibration and maintenance of Crash Test Lab facility and related equipment.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other Passive Safety Lab teams to align testing strategies with development goals and project timelines.
• Innovation: Stay updated on new testing technologies and methodologies, incorporating relevant advancements to enhance lab capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in automotive passive safety testing related to dummies and at least 3 years in a leadership role within a passive safety testing or laboratory environment.
• In-depth knowledge of automotive safety standards and regulations (e.g., FMVSS, Euro NCAP, IIHS).
• Hands-on experience with crash test procedures, passive safety electronical equipment (dummy, integrated and umbilical DAS system, sensors, etc), analysing test reports for composition, completeness and correctness of received data.
• Proficiency with Crash Lab dummy and surround testing equipment, vehicle data acquisition tools and performance analysis software.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and strong leadership skills to manage a diverse team.
• Relevant industry certifications in automotive testing or engineering (preferred).
• Knowledge and understanding in ISO 9001, ISO 17025 systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) & analysis tools.
• Strong communication skills - English language – upper intermediate or high lever (speak , read and write).
• B category driver licence (preferred).
