Your day at NTT DATA

The Manager, Security Consulting is a management role responsible for guiding both internal and external clients in effectively navigating complex cybersecurity challenges.

This role involves leveraging technical knowledge and strategic insights to develop and implement innovative security strategies, ensuring the protection of digital assets and compliance with industry standards.

Additionally, this role plays a crucial part in building and managing a talented team, fostering a culture of excellence and driving growth within the security consulting practice.

Key responsibilities:

• Cultivates strong relationships with internal and external clients, understanding their security needs and concerns, and providing tailored consulting solutions to address their unique requirements.
• Leads and oversee security consulting projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Coordinates and participates in security assessments, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security audits.
• Leads a team, providing guidance, mentorship, and coaching to enhance their technical skills, project management capabilities, and client interaction skills.
• Provides expertise and guidance on security strategy, risk management, and compliance to clients, offering recommendations and solutions to enhance their security posture.
• Collaborates with clients to develop security policies, procedures, incident response plans, and security awareness training programs.
• Utilizes technical expertise to assess and recommend security solutions and technologies that align with clients' business objectives and mitigate potential security risks.
• Stays informed about the latest cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and evolving technologies to provide informed recommendations to clients.
• Assists in business development efforts by identifying and pursuing new client opportunities, preparing proposals, and participating in client presentations to win consulting projects.
• Collaborates with senior management to develop marketing strategies and thought leadership content that promotes the company's security consulting services.
• Works closely with cross-functional teams such as sales, legal, compliance, and product development to ensure seamless integration and alignment of security consulting services with organizational objectives.
• Collaborates with internal teams to share insights, align strategies, and contribute to the overall improvement of the company's security offerings.
• Ensures compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality assurance processes in all security consulting projects.
  
  

To thrive in this role, you need to have:

• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, threats, and best practices.
• Knowledge of the technology industry, including trends, emerging technologies, and their potential impact on cybersecurity.
• Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance frameworks affecting the technology sector.
• Ability to assess and manage cybersecurity risks at both organizational and project levels.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and standards like NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, CIS, etc.
• Ability to develop and execute strategic plans aligning security consulting with organizational objectives.
• Ability to lead and manage teams, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Client engagement skills to build and maintain relationships, understand client needs, and exceed expectations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and programs concurrently, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to think creatively and devise innovative security solutions and strategies to address evolving threats.
• Capacity to adapt to a rapidly changing cybersecurity landscape and bounce back from setbacks.

Academic qualifications and certifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Computer Science or Engineering or related field.
• Industry relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, GSEC or CompTIA Security+ essential.
  
  

Required experience:

• Solid experience in the cybersecurity domain, focusing on consulting and advisory roles.
• Solid experience providing security solutions, risk assessments, compliance expertise, and incident response strategies within technology environments.
• Proven track record of managing and coordinating security projects, conducting client interactions, and overseeing a team.
• Strong experience in developing and implementing security strategies, knowledge of industry standards and regulations, as well as a strong understanding of information security technologies and trends are key requirements.
