The ADAS ECU Component Owner is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) ECUs within an OEM environment. This role will involve coordinating between internal teams, suppliers, and partners to ensure the successful development, integration, and validation of ADAS ECU components in vehicles. The component owner ensures that all ADAS systems are designed, developed, and delivered on time, within budget, and meet the required safety, performance, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the development, integration, and maintenance of ADAS ECU components throughout their lifecycle.
  
• Define the functional and non-functional requirements for ADAS ECU components in collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  
• Oversee the design, validation, and release of ADAS ECU components, ensuring alignment with vehicle system architecture.
  
• Act as the primary point of contact between hardware, software, and system engineering teams.
  
• Work closely with testing and validation teams to ensure that components meet performance and safety standards.
  
• Engage and manage relationships with suppliers for ADAS ECU components and associated software.
  
• Ensure suppliers meet quality, cost, and timeline targets, and drive resolution of any supplier-related issues.
  
• Perform regular audits and evaluations of supplier performance.
  
• Lead issue resolution efforts, ensuring that issues are tracked, resolved, and communicated effectively across teams.
  
• Own and manage the project plans for ADAS ECU development, ensuring that all milestones and deadlines are met.
  
• Report progress, risks, and key issues to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  
• Ensure all ADAS ECU components comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and relevant certifications (e.g., ISO 26262, automotive safety standards).
  

• In-depth knowledge of embedded systems and microcontroller selection (e.g., ARM Cortex, PowerPC, AURIX) with the ability to assess and select the appropriate processor based on performance and power requirements.
  
• Knowledge of the image-based communications GMSL, FPD Link
  
• In-depth understanding of automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet, FlexRay, MOST) and their implementation in vehicle networks.
  
• Knowledge of component selection (SOC, memory, transceiver, PMIC, etc...)
  
• In-depth knowledge of power design
  
• Understanding of component datasheet and specification
  
• Knowledge of communication protocols I2C, SPI, UART etc…
  
• Expertise in designing power distribution systems and optimizing power consumption for ADAS ECUs Collaborate with software and hardware teams to design ADAS ECU architectures, including the integration of sensors (e.g., radar, lidar, cameras), actuators, and control units.
  
• Understanding DV testing definition regarding ISO standards (EMC, ENV &ELK)
  
• Understanding system requirement and allocating to the component design
  
• ECU connector selection and pin out definition
  
• Diagnostic concept definition for EOL, Aftersale and MFG
  
• Experience in ODX definition
  
• FUSA knowledge (FSR, TSR implementation on HW level)
  
• DFMEA definition and understanding impact of RPN values
  
• Strong understanding of mechanical design, including PCB layout consideration
  
• Knowledge of cooling design of the ECU
  
• Experience in selecting enclosures that meet automotive IP (Ingress Protection) standards and designing for ruggedness
