Job Purpose

The Head of IT will be responsible for leading the technology strategy, implementation, and management of IT systems for a newly established life insurance company. This role will focus on setting up the IT infrastructure, core insurance systems, digital platforms, and data integration with Techcombank. The Head of IT will also drive innovation, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee cybersecurity, IT governance, and third-party vendor relationships to build a scalable and resilient technology ecosystem.

Key Accountabilities (1)
IT Strategy & Digital Transformation Leadership

Develop and execute the IT strategy to support the company’s business goals and digital transformation.
Ensure IT systems and platforms align with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and long-term scalability.
Lead the adoption of emerging technologies such as AI, automation, and data analytics to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

IT Infrastructure & Core System Implementation

Oversee the selection, implementation, and integration of core insurance platforms, including policy administration, underwriting, claims, and new business systems.
Ensure a secure and scalable IT infrastructure, including cloud-based, hybrid, and onpremise solutions.
Work with IT security teams to implement robust cybersecurity frameworks, ensuring data protection and regulatory compliance.

Key Accountabilities (2)
Collaboration with Techcombank & Business Units

Work closely with Techcombank’s IT team to integrate insurance systems with banking platforms for seamless customer experience.
Define API and data exchange strategies to enable real-time interactions between the insurance company and Techcombank.
Support distribution channels, including bancassurance and agency, by ensuring digital tools and CRM systems are aligned with sales strategies.

Third-Party Vendor & IT Partner Management

Manage relationships with IT vendors, system integrators, and technology partners to deliver high-quality IT solutions.
Negotiate contracts and define service-level agreements (SLAs) with third-party providers to ensure performance and reliability.
Evaluate new technologies and software solutions to enhance business operations and competitiveness

Key Accountabilities (3)
IT Governance, Compliance & Security

Ensure compliance with IT regulatory requirements, data privacy laws, and cybersecurity frameworks.
Develop IT governance policies, best practices, and risk management procedures to safeguard business continuity.
Work with compliance and audit teams to ensure IT systems meet internal and external security standards.

Team Leadership & IT Operations Management

Build and lead the IT team, ensuring alignment with business priorities and technology goals.
Mentor and develop IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
Oversee IT operations, ensuring system uptime, performance monitoring, and business continuity planning.

Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for IT systems, ensuring operational efficiency and business alignment.
Monitor IT system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements.
Stay ahead of industry trends and continuously evolve the IT strategy to maintain a competitive edge.

Success Profile - Qualification and Experiences
Education

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

Minimum of 12-15 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the life insurance or financial services industry.
Proven experience in setting up and managing IT infrastructure, core insurance systems, and digital platforms.
Strong track record in IT strategy execution, digital transformation, and driving businessaligned technology initiatives.
Experience in working with bancassurance partners and integrating insurance IT systems with banking platforms.
Expertise in IT governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance within the insurance industry.

Lịch sử thành lập

Năm 1993: Ngân hàng thương mại cổ phần Kỹ Thương Việt Nam (Techcombank) được thành lập tại Hà Nội với vốn điều lệ 20 tỷ đồng
Năm 1995: Tăng vốn điều lệ lên 51,495 tỷ đồng. Thành lập Chi nhánh Techcombank Hồ Chí Minh
Năm 1996: Thành lập Chi nhánh Techcombank Thăng Long cùng Phòng Giao dịch Nguyễn Chí Thanh tại Hà Nội. Thành lập Phòng Giao dịch Thắng Lợi trực thuộc Techcombank Hồ Chí Minh.Tăng vốn điều lệ tiếp tục lên 70 tỷ đồng.
Năm 1998: Trụ sở chính được chuyển sang Tòa nhà Techcombank, 15 Đào Duy Từ, Hà Nội. Thành lập Chi nhánh Techcombank Đà Nẵng tại Đà Nẵng.
Năm 1999: Tăng Techcombank tăng vốn điều lệ lên 80,020 tỷ đồng. Khai trương Phòng giao dịch số 3 tại phố Khâm Thiên, Hà Nội.
Năm 2000: Thành lập Phòng Giao dịch Thái Hà tại Hà Nội. Tăng vốn điều lệ lên: 102,345 tỷ đồng
Năm 2002: Thành lập Chi nhánh Chương Dương, Chi nhánh Hoàn Kiếm tại Hà Nội và các chi nhánh tại Hải Phòng, Đà Nẵng, Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh. Tăng vốn điều lệ lên 104,435 tỷ đồng
Năm 2003: Chính thức phát hành thẻ thanh toán F@stAccess-Connect 24 (hợp tác với Vietcombank) vào ngày 05/12/2003
Năm 2004: Khai trương biểu tượng mới của Ngân hàng
Năm 2005: Thành lập các chi nhánh cấp 1 tại: Lào Cai, Hưng Yên, Vĩnh Phúc, Bắc Ninh, T.P Nha Trang (tỉnh Khánh Hòa), Vũng Tàu..

Năm 2008: Ra mắt thẻ tín dụng Techcombank Visa Credit
Năm 2012: phát hành thẻ đồng thương hiệu Techcombank – Vietnam Airlines – Visa
Năm 2018: Techcombank được niêm yết trên sàn chứng khoán Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh.
