Our client is a leading technology company who is looking for a qualified candidate to join their firm.
Take a hands-on role in guiding Agile teams through all phases of development, ensuring they uphold engineering best practices, meet sprint goals, and are accountable for code quality, testing, and adherence to project plans.
Partner with product managers, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive the timely execution of engineering milestones.
Shape and evolve the company's long-term technology roadmap and development frameworks.
Participate in the architectural planning and design of scalable and future-proof platforms.
Ensure a balanced approach between rapid delivery and software quality.
Coach developers to expand their capabilities across functions, becoming well-rounded and proactive contributors.
Lead efforts to manage and reduce technical debt across the codebase.
Stay current with advancements in software development, tools, and cloud-native practices.
Oversee the full lifecycle of software projects, from planning to deployment, while ensuring delivery excellence.
Cultivate a high-performing, self-directed engineering team that emphasizes ownership and reliability.
Spearhead process improvements to streamline development and deployment workflows.
Encourage continuous learning and innovation within the product team to maintain a competitive edge.
Work closely with HR to map out career paths, training, and growth opportunities for engineering staff.
Proficiency in at least one of the following technologies:
Microservices and REST APIs.
Relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).
Cloud infrastructure (AWS – Lambda, ECS, S3, etc. – or Google Cloud Platform).
Familiarity with formal software development methodologies.
Background & Skills:
At least 10 years in software development, including 4+ years in an engineering leadership role, preferably in a product-oriented environment.
Proven ability to lead end-to-end product development and drive new product initiatives.
Strong foundation in Agile principles, software lifecycle, CI/CD, code quality practices, and operational excellence.
Industry experience in banking, fintech, or card payment systems is highly valued.
Prior leadership in a global tech or finance firm, coupled with solid hands-on development experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor engineers, and foster career development.
Skilled in producing detailed technical documentation and managing code and change processes.
Comfortable working with international teams and aligning diverse priorities across regions.
In-depth knowledge of software quality assurance, DevOps culture, and microservices architecture.
Track record of leading cross-functional collaboration in a distributed environment.
