The Director of Revenue Management is responsible for the interpretation of business analytics into tactical strategy – provides focused expertise that will guide and direct the team through effective and measurable revenue management initiatives. The priority will be promote revenue growth generation among key customer segments and revenue centers, and supporting the company's brand positioning and image. S/he is responsible for data quality and analysis, providing gathered intelligence, and recommending revenue and e-commerce strategies to the Commercial Strategy team, as well as other corporate and ownership entities. In addition, the role ensures that inventory allocation and pricing parameters are positioned to support the overall revenue goals of the company, while assisting all stakeholders in maximizing profit.
YOUR DAY TO DAY:
- Design the revenue management strategy to maximize on all revenue opportunities;
- Responsible for driving commercial performance of the company;
- Responsible for the design of the segment pricing strategy;
- Analyze daily, weekly and monthly pick up reports and market trends from the different perspectives of market segment, source of business, room type, point of sale, etc., to ensure constant optimization of the pricing strategy;
- Review, monitor and control the production and evolution of the different distribution channels (GDS, IDS, Melia.com, hotel direct...) and market segments;
- Responsible for the design of a pricing strategy and room type supplement strategy that maximizes revenue from superior rooms and rooms with attribute. Monitor the performance of typologies, designing action plans for categories whose performance is not in line with expectations;
- Oversee and validate the group and event quotation process, ensuring that the operations team follow pricing instructions;
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Hotel Management, Tourism or Economic Studies;
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a hotel chains and/ Golf / Theme park, etc…;
- A strong command of both written and spoken English is required; additional languages an asset;
- Highly computer literate with a high level command of Excel;
- Experience with: Ideas G3 RMS, Opera PMS, Channel Manager, GDS, CRS, Extranets;
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
- Previous reservation experience highly preferred;
- Possessing the trait of being organized and multi-tasking;
- Ability to complete work within given deadlines;
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
