Role Overview:
The IT Operation Officer will be responsible for managing the onboarding and offboarding of staff, including provisioning devices, software, identities, emails, access, and peripherals for end users. This role will also be responsible to provide first-level support for the IT Service Desk, which includes, but is not limited to, delivering IT infrastructure, troubleshooting, and performing maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process staff onboarding/offboarding daily
- Follow up and provide first-line technical support to employees across the organization
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Assist with user account management, including password resets and access permissions
- Maintain and update IT documentation, including user guides and troubleshooting guides
- Collaborate with finance and external vendors for repairs, upgrades and procurement as needed
- Regularly update and maintain the IT inventory to ensure it is always current
- Monitor system performance and implement updates or upgrades to ensure optimal functionality
- Ensure IT security protocols are followed and assist in safeguarding company data
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proven experience in an IT operation role
- Understanding of ITIL concepts - asset management, incident management, and service management
- Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and software applications
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, ..
- Familiarity with operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux) and IT tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, Entra ID,)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
- Eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
- IT certifications (e.g., Network+, ITIL or Microsoft certifications)
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices
