To insure the smooth and efficient operation of the Accounts Payable Section through accurate, legitimate and prompt payments of liabilities.

Primary Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

• Ensure that invoices are correctly coded, posted into system, and adequately attached with relevant documents such as Purchases Orders, Banquet Event Orders etc

• Ensure that all payment requisitions are approved by relevant Department Heads or Division Heads

• Ensure that journal entries interfaced from Cost Control/Receiving Office are correct

• Ensure that all expenses for the month are posted and necessary accruals made

• Prepare bank-in deposit slips.

• Prepares the input VAT claim.

• Maintain adequate up-to-date accounts payable files.

• Responsible for the efficient operation of the accounting section, in particular Accounts Payable function

• Ensure that the accounts payable policies and procedures as laid down by management are consistently complied with.

• Make accurate and timely payment to creditors according to approved policies & procedures

• Ensure that transactions for the day are posted and reconciled with the general ledger on a daily basis.

• Ensure that tax related matters such as computations, payments and reports to Tax Bureau are complied with.

• Prepare reports, schedules and analysis that may be required by the Chief Accountant

• Stamp “PAID” and “POSTED” on all supporting documents to prevent double payment.

• Reconcile with receiving records.

Other Responsibilities

• Be aware of the hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures

• Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management

• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times

• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the assigned by the Management him/

Main Complexity/Critical issues in the Job

Ensure accuracy and efficiency of processing and monitoring payments.

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting / Finance

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the hotel industry

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Excel and relevant accounting
