1. Health Insurance Billing and Claims:

Process health insurance payments for covered medical examinations and treatments, including direct billing for insured patients.

Follow up on claims and ensure timely payment from insurance carriers (phone, email, etc.).

2. Medical Coding and Record Management:

Utilize patients' health records to accurately code medical procedures according to established coding systems.

Analyze insurance claims for completeness and accuracy, identifying and correcting coding errors.

Maintain meticulous electronic records of medical costs, adjustments, co-payments, and other billing details.

3. Communication and Patient Assistance:

Communicate effectively with insurance carriers to resolve billing issues and discrepancies.

Assist patients in understanding their health insurance benefits and coverage.

Help patients obtain necessary pre-approvals and navigate billing procedures.

4. Internal Processes and Reporting:

Update internal billing databases with accurate and up-to-date information.

Generate reports on health insurance utilization for medical supplies, equipment, staff, and treatment costs.

Participate in developing and improving internal processes and guidelines related to health insurance billing and coding.
