We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Export Control Officer to join our team in Asia Pacific. As part of a strong network of regional and national Export Control Officers, collaborate in a multicultural environment and exchange knowledge with experts from around the world.

In this role, you will report directly to the Regional Export Control Lead – Asia Pacific and play a crucial part in ensuring our compliance with export control laws and regulations. Based in Vietnam, you will be responsible for monitoring, assessing, and managing export control risks associated with our business activities in Vietnam and Philippines.

• As part of the global Export Control Compliance Organization, you will be the first point of contact to provide strategic export control insights into current and future business opportunities in Vietnam and Philippines by anticipating potential risks and implementing effective mitigation measures.
• Assist in the implementation of regional and local processes, conduct effective risk management for the region or country, and establish necessary controls and audits.
• Additionally, you will deploy global standards and guidelines in the areas of export controls and sanctions law at the regional level and be responsible for drafting additional national and regional policies.
• Conduct thorough assessments of export transactions to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Continuously monitor the business activities with special focus on circumvention and review and release of business models or individual transactions.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to export control activities and transactions.
• Facilitate in audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance measures and controls.
• Assist in the investigation of potential compliance violations and recommend corrective actions.
  
  

• Education: Completed university studies in business administration, business law or a comparable subject
• Experience and Knowledge: Demonstrated relevant knowledge and working experience in export control and sanctions compliance according to EU, US, and applicable national laws related regulations
• Personality and Working Practice: Bring in your engagement and willingness to collaborate in a fast changing, international environment. Your personality is convincing and communicative, and you are resilient and keep calm
• Languages: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required
