What You'll Do
As a Sales Manager in the Industrial Chemicals sector, you'll play a pivotal role in strengthening customer relationships through regular engagement and communication. Your ability to collaborate effectively with the sales team will be crucial in driving new business development efforts. You'll be tasked with troubleshooting technical issues, offering timely solutions that meet customer needs. Your insights will guide Technical and Production teams, ensuring smooth operations across all functions. Additionally, you'll prepare comprehensive technical reports addressing customer concerns while also taking on additional responsibilities to support team objectives.
- Engage with customers through regular visits and ongoing communication to strengthen relationships.
- Collaborate with the sales team to drive and support new business development efforts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered by customers, providing timely solutions.
- Offer technical assistance for new product launches and product development initiatives.
- Conduct application testing and evaluate product performance and processes for improvement.
- Provide expert guidance to Technical and Production teams as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare detailed technical reports for customers addressing complaints or technical concerns.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by your manager to support team objectives.
- Compile and submit monthly reports detailing project progress and key activities.
The ideal candidate for this Sales Manager position brings a wealth of experience from an Industrial Chemist or Technical Service role. You have a deep understanding of FRP composite materials, adhesive, coupled with hands-on experience working with UPR/VE or gelcoats. Your in-depth knowledge of UPR chemistry sets you apart, as does your proficiency in English and advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite. You possess strong research abilities and a solid understanding of research methodologies. Your exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving skills will be invaluable in this role, as will your outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities. A strong customer focus and experience in external customer engagement are also key to success in this role.
- 5 years of experience in an Industrial Chemist or Technical Service role
- Familiarity with FRP composite materials is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of UPR chemistry.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong research abilities with a solid understanding of research methodologies.
