Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Chief Accountant / Accounting Manager who will lead our accounting team and serve as the backbone of our finance function. This role is crucial in ensuring accounting accuracy, building scalable systems, and supporting our transition to a Singapore holding structure with IFRS consolidation ahead of upcoming fundraising rounds.

The right candidate combines execution excellence with strategic curiosity — detail-oriented enough to run clean books today, but ambitious enough to grow into a Group Controller role tomorrow.

Key Responsibilities

A. Financial Operations & Compliance

• Oversee AR/AP, payroll, GL, and monthly/yearly closings.

• Ensure compliance with VAS, VAT, CIT, PIT, and other statutory filings.

• Coordinate audits, prepare statutory reports, and maintain documentation.

• Handle banking relationships, treasury processes, and covenant monitoring.

• Support IFRS transition and multi-entity consolidation for Singapore HoldCo.

• Ensure accounting outputs are structured to support FP&A activities (budgeting, forecasting, KPI analysis).
  

B. Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead, coach, and empower the accounting team; delegate effectively while maintaining accountability.

• Set structured, sustainable schedules to avoid fire drills and burn-out.

• Serve as finance liaison with Sales, HR, Ops, and other departments.

• Balance discipline with startup flexibility, protecting both quality and team morale.

• Communicate confidently with internal stakeholders, ensuring trust in the numbers.

C. Systems, Processes & Continuous Improvement

• Translate CFO’s vision into practical, step-by-step action plans.

• Improve workflows and controls, turning ad hoc fixes into repeatable systems.

• Experiment with new methods, tools, and automation to optimize efficiency.

• Streamline reporting calendars and compliance processes.

• Ensure systems can stand up to investor due diligence and future fundraising.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.

• Chief Accountant Certificate (CAC) from the Ministry of Finance (mandatory for compliance).

• 7–12 years of accounting experience, including team supervision.

• Strong knowledge of VAS, taxation, and statutory compliance.

• Familiarity with IFRS and multi-entity consolidation; experience with Singaporean structures a plus.

• Strong English reading skills; writing and speaking are a plus.

• CPA, ACCA, or other international certifications are strong advantages.
