About the position
The Restaurant Manager leads daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, staff performance, and adherence to company standards. This role focuses on driving financial success, controlling costs, and executing promotional strategies while maintaining a respectful work environment and delivering high-quality dining experiences.
Administration
- Manage daily food & beverage operations, including menus, staffing, and service delivery, aligned with company goals.
- Supervise food & beverage service staff to ensure adherence to corporate policies and standards.
- Monitor sales performance daily and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct market surveys to stay updated on business trends, technology, and competitor insights, providing feedback to F&B leadership.
Financial & Revenue Management
- Develop and implement promotional programs to drive revenue and meet budget targets.
- Monitor product performance and oversee sales and promotional activities.
- Manage outlet profitability by controlling costs and achieving revenue goals.
- Collaborate with stewarding to minimize breakages and enforce cost control measures.
Training & Human Resources
- Develop and execute training programs to uphold service quality standards.
- Mentor and coach team members, identify talent for promotion, and conduct performance appraisals.
- Foster a respectful, discrimination-free workplace and address employee concerns promptly.
- Ensure a harmonious working environment by addressing cross-cultural conflicts effectively.
Guest Service
- Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction by managing customer care and service quality.
- Build relationships with VIPs, dignitaries, and new clientele to expand guest databases.
- Oversee food tastings and monitor food quality for events and daily service.
Talent profile
- 3-5 years of experience in restaurant or F&B management, preferably in a luxury hotel setting.
- Strong understanding of financial reports, revenue management, and cost control strategies.
- Experience in team development, including training, coaching, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests and team members effectively.
- Strong knowledge of Chinese culinary traditions, food presentation, and beverage pairing.
- Fluency in English, with knowledge of Chinese as a bonus.
