Overview
Springer Capital is a real estate investment firm based in Chicago, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. Springer engages in Capital Advisory for APAC Private Equity and Asset Management making financial investments in real estate and other sectors in US markets.

Springer is seeking an Remote Software Engineering intern to join the Technology side of the company. The internship can be onsite in Shanghai or conducted remotely. The start date of the internship is flexible.

Job Highlights

As an Remote Software Engineering intern, you will be focusing on developing and maintaining fundamental software and productivity tools that support Springer’s workflow. You will be able to collaborate with groups across Springer throughout your work.

What you will do as an intern:

• Write scripts to automate our virtual machine management
• Manage Proxmox hosting Linux, android, and windows operating systems
• Create and maintain different accounts for the firm’s infrastructure applications
• Manage our Raid severs and backup servers from remote locations
• Assist in researching new equipment to purchase

• Interns will have group calls with the director and supervisors regularly for up-to-date and constructive feedback
• Greater leadership and responsibilities will be given to interns based on work quality

Who we are looking for:

• Strong experience in coding languages such as JavaScript, C++, PHP etc. (highly recommended but not required)
• Active learner mindset
• Linux experience
• Virtual Machine Experience
• Server Management Experience

Technical and Legal Information

The internship enrollment period is flexible. The expected hours are 20 per week for ~3 months. Upon completion, you will receive an internship confirmation letter, or you can apply to your school for internship credit.
