What You'll Do

As a Sourcing Manager, you will play a crucial role in our client's operations. You will work closely with the Product Development Merchants team to develop direct sourcing opportunities. Your excellent negotiation skills will be put to use as you manage price/volume/delivery terms with suppliers. You will also be responsible for researching and identifying potential suppliers using various methods. Your strong relationship-building skills will be essential as you leverage vendor relationships to generate more business. Additionally, you will work on developing new products and increasing product vitality.

• Develop direct sourcing opportunities from identification to ongoing support
• Conduct supplier evaluations, manage product specifications and packaging requirements
• Negotiate price/volume/delivery terms and manage supplier compliance to requirements
• Research and identify additional potential suppliers using various methods
• Leverage vendor relationships to generate more business
• Work on developing new products and increasing product vitality
• Improve performance with existing suppliers focusing on cost, delivery, cycle time, compliance and innovation
• Build and maintain relationships with existing suppliers
  
  

What You Bring

You possess a strong understanding of supply chain diversification and demonstrate a high level of efficiency and proactivity. Your analytical skills are top-notch, particularly when it comes to product cost analysis and manufacturing capacity planning. You're adept at program negotiation using multiple methods such as auctions, purchase orders, or multi-year contracts. Your project and process management skills are well-honed, including variance identification and process improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical discipline
• 8-10 years of Global Sourcing experience preferably with a major retailer
• Strong understanding of Supply chain diversification
• High level of efficiency and proactivity
• Flexibility and ability to navigate across different cultures, products and factories background
• Analytical skills with an emphasis on product cost and manufacturing capacity planning
• Experience in program negotiation using multiple methods (auction, purchase order, multi-year contract)
• Project management skills
