The Position
As a Market Access & Government Affairs Manager, you will establish Market Access (MA), Value Communications and Health Economics (HE) strategies in line with local and global business priorities. Provide leadership in developing and implementing the strategic affiliate market access plans, creating supportive HE value documentation and aiding tools for use in their Pricing and Reimbursement (P&R) and Formulary works (national payer levels).
Key tasks include, but are not limited to:
Market Access Strategies & Execution
- Developing and implementing Market Access strategies to shape the national policies around healthcare and reimbursement.
Establishes and maintains relationships with payers, policy-makers, Key Opinion Leaders, independent academic experts & institutions, patient association representatives to disseminate messages and to influence added value of NN innovative products. Plan and manage the resources and skills within the function to meet short- and long-term needs, including training needs, competency gap, succession planning and others. Constantly communicate the shared vision and business priorities for the Market Access functional area and actively manage the functional team by delegating liabilities, managing performance, recognising and rewarding achievements and identifying ways to improve. Be an ambassador for Business Ethics and ensure full compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor intelligence on the MA landscape from competition access, healthcare system changes, Health Technology Assessment (HTA) developments and general trends in the field. Execute MA plans based on local needs and strategy aligned with affiliate and global aspirations. Implement and execute strategic MA frameworks such as payer engagement, negotiation, and objection handling in close collaboration with Affiliate Management Team and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Communicate local HE evidences and Value Communication to create tailored local value messages that resonate with local patients, payers, health care providers and other decision-makers. Develop local HE Communication Tools to ensure Novo Nordisk drug’s value proposition will be recognized and local market uptake will be maximized. Identify and communicate to International Operations (IO) the HE evidence and publication needs that will leverage local business opportunities and drive stakeholder engagement strategies needs for MA. Develop a local submission value dossier, ensuring a coherent storyline that will resonate with local payers in collaboration with IO/Regional/ local Management Team.
- Submit complete pricing cases in line with IO pricing strategies and SOP pricing promptly. Reflect a clear understanding of the business impact and general MA implications by collaborating closely with CMR (Clinical, Medical, Regulatory), Marketing and Sales to create solid business/pricing cases. Monitor local pricing developments, ensure pricing SOP compliance and communicate pricing insights and analyses, ensuring broader business implications are reflected. Participate and represent NN in local pricing platforms with plans/tactics in collaboration with the field-based market access team and align negotiation tactics with internal pricing policies.
- To develop/design & execute Novo Nordisk Government Affairs strategy with the aim of influencing governmental trends & policies which might impact diabetes, haemophilia & obesity care;
- To build and increase disease awareness
- Prepares, agrees and implements pro-active solutions for the government affairs issues that can be seen as a problem for the short and long term within each therapy area.
- To establish relevant strategic engagement platforms to facilitate stakeholder dialogue and to drive company priorities in multi-stakeholder partnerships.
- Develops and maintains appropriate information gathering on all competitive activities and health care reform trends, and communicate these to appropriate people in the organization
- Actively keeps updated about NN's commercial objectives, business strategies and their political acceptability
- Completed bachelor’s or master's degree, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry-academic area.
- Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical market access environmental factors to foster pricing & reimbursement strategies, public and government affairs.
- At least 10 years of experience in a Market Access, Government Relations and/or Health Technology.
- Track record of successful change management and delivering market access.
- Proficiency in both oral and written English is essential.

- Năm 1996, Minh Long được cấp giấy phép xuất khẩu, cho phép xuất khẩu đồ gốm mỹ nghệ đi các quốc gia khác.
- Trong vòng 5 năm, Minh Long hoạt động chủ yếu xuất khẩu đồ gốm mỹ nghệ sang các nước Châu Âu, đặc biệt là nước Pháp cho đến năm 1998, khi Minh Long chuyển đổi hướng kinh doanh và tập trung vào thị trường nội địa.
