About You And This Role

We are seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to drive growth and market penetration in our Mobility & Transportation (M&T) business. This role is instrumental in expanding our footprint in M&T applications through strategic partnerships and new business development and innovations at both automotive OEM and value chain partners. The primary location of this role is in Malaysia, other locations including Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Singapore will also be considered.

Responsibilities:

Business Development:

• Take a lead in new business development of target applications and relationship management at automotive OEMs expanding in Southeast Asia
• Identify and engage potential customers and partners within the mobility & transportation industry.
• Collaborate closely with internal cross-functional teams to develop tailored silicone solutions and innovations that meet customers’ needs and market demands.
  
  

Market Positioning and Brand Awareness:

• Enhance our company's visibility and reputation in the mobility & transportation segment through targeted marketing initiatives, in collaboration with Marketing function.
• Attend industry events and conferences to network and promote Dow’s innovative solutions.
• Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies accordingly.
  
  

Market Analysis and Strategy Development:

• Conduct comprehensive market research to identify opportunities, trends, and competitive landscape in the M&T segment.
• Develop and execute strategic business plans to capture market share and achieve sales growth targets.
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Proven track record of sales/marketing/BD roles, relevant areas in chemical or automotive preferred
• Strong negotiation, influencing, communication and presentation skills
• Fluency in both oral and written English and Mandarin Chinese preferred; proficiency in Japanese/Korean/Bahasa is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel as required to meet business objectives.
