What You'll Do

As an Automation QA Engineer, your role will be pivotal in shaping the E-commerce experience for our client's customers. You'll be involved in every step of the process, from hiring new engineers in Vietnam to upskilling engineers around the globe. Your expertise will be crucial in interacting with clients, assisting them in making informed decisions about their E-commerce site setup. You'll also have the opportunity to collaborate with technologists worldwide to solve complex problems. Your commitment to executing all testing activities will directly contribute to improving product quality.

• Support in recruiting new engineers in Vietnam
• Collaborate and enhance the skills of engineers worldwide
• Engage with clients to support their E-commerce site setup
• Work with global technologists to solve technical challenges
• Conduct comprehensive testing to improve product quality
• Address testing requirements with a systematic and meticulous approach
• Design and perform functional, regression, and/or performance acceptance tests
• Take full responsibility for improving end-to-end test coverage
• Participate in sprint planning and collaborate closely with the Scrum team
  
  

What You Bring

The ideal Automation QA Engineer candidate brings a wealth of experience from a software engineering environment, particularly within corporate, retail or E-commerce settings. Your robust analytical skills and problem-solving capacity will be invaluable as you address testing needs methodically. Your ability to articulate and execute functional, regression, and performance acceptance tests will ensure that our client's products are of the highest quality. Fluent English communication skills are essential for this role, as you'll be interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• 5+ years working in a software engineering environment
• Experience working within corporate/retail environments, with a focus on Ecommerce
• Strong quality assurance skills, with hands-on experience in improving product quality through close collaboration with cross-functional teams (developers, business analysts, customer service, operations, etc.).
• Expertise in JavaScript and Playwright (or similar open-source, code-based test automation tools) to lead automated testing initiatives.
• Capable of driving comprehensive test strategies, taking full ownership of improving test coverage and product quality.
• Practical experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to optimize testing processes.
• Demonstrated success in implementing test frameworks and managing testing environments.
• Ability to design, articulate, and execute functional, regression, and performance tests with a focus on expanding test coverage.
• Familiar with various software development methodologies (SDLC, Agile, Waterfall) and technologies like Oracle, DB2, UNIX, and web platforms.
• Strong understanding of monitoring tools and strong reporting and analytical skills for issue identification.
• Strong documentation and communication skills, engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work collaboratively and bring issues and suggestions to the table.
  
  

Bonus Qualifications

• ISTQB or Agile Test Certification (Foundation level or higher).
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience.
• Knowledge of security practices related to authentication and authorization.
• Hands-on experience with AWS platforms.
• Skilled in writing detailed and reliable test cases to ensure code quality.
• Experience facilitating discussions about software testing.
