Position Summary:
The Admission Officer is responsible for managing all admission procedures for both planned and emergency patients. This role ensures smooth coordination between departments, accurate data entry, and an excellent patient experience during the hospital admission process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and guide patients and families through admission procedures.
- Verify patient identity, insurance details, and required documents.
- Update patient information and complete registration in the hospital system (Orion HIS).
- Prepare admission forms, cost estimates, and consent forms; ensure proper filing and scanning.
- Coordinate with departments such as wards, Operating Theatre, Billing, and Insurance to confirm booking and deposit arrangements.
- Handle changes, postponements, or cancellations of admissions.
- Respond to patient inquiries, handle complaints politely, and ensure high-quality customer service.
- Maintain accurate admission reports and records.
