What You'll Do

As Corporate Affairs Director based in Ho Chi Minh City, you will play a central role in shaping both internal strategy and external perception for one of the world’s most respected pharmaceutical organisations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will see you collaborating across departments to design impactful strategies that advance patient access while ensuring all communications are aligned with commercial goals. You will act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on matters of reputation management and policy advocacy. By leveraging your established networks within government institutions, patient groups, pharmaceutical associations, academia, payers, media outlets, and other industry bodies you will help shape the local market environment. Your ability to monitor external trends will enable you to recommend timely strategic responses that support both short- and long-term business objectives. In addition to managing a talented team of direct reports—providing them with guidance and career development—you will also represent the company at high-profile events. Your efforts will be instrumental in fostering system change that ensures patients’ voices are included in policy development while maintaining compliance with corporate visual identity standards.   • Design and execute local strategies for Patient Access, Value Communication, and Public Affairs in alignment with business objectives focused on diabetes and obesity.
  • Deliver reimbursement submissions, HTA assessments, pricing strategies, and tender applications to maximise market access for innovative therapies.
  • Shape external messaging to key stakeholders including policymakers, payers, healthcare professionals, patient groups, and the public to positively influence public affairs and government policy.
  • Monitor the evolving patient access landscape as well as changes in the healthcare system to identify trends that inform strategic actions for local market access.
  • Drive implementation of value communication tools to enhance recognition of product value propositions and ensure successful uptake in the local market.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Sales, Clinical, Medical & Regulatory to support government affairs priorities and secure seamless execution of aligned tactics.
  • Develop and sustain partnerships with regional affiliates across Southeast Asia as well as internal teams to drive coordinated market access initiatives.
  • Manage and develop a team of direct reports by setting clear annual objectives while providing coaching, recognition, and career development support.
  • Represent the organisation at key external events including those related to government or industry activities to strengthen relationships with critical stakeholders.
  • Lead crisis communication planning by proactively identifying potential business threats or opportunities and developing corresponding action plans.

  • Demonstrated track record of leading successful campaigns that have generated genuine change in policy or behaviour is required.
  • Strongly established networks with patient groups, government institutions or pharmaceutical associations would provide a significant advantage.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate structures within healthcare systems along with familiarity regarding key stakeholders and opinion leaders is expected.
